OIL-FREE BAKED VEGGIE CHIPS

If you don’t want to harm your body with that store-bought crunchy potato chips and want a similar snack which is healthy and delicious, these baked veggie chips can be a fantastic choice to eat during your work.

They are crunchy, healthy, appetizing, and addictive. Meanwhile, they are very customizable. You can choose different kinds of vegetables to prepare it. This can include carrots, potatoes, zucchinis, beetroot, etc. By the way, as less oil is used for baking them as possible. This means they are almost oil-free. A very little oil is used to spray on them lightly.

So, let’s describe the baking process. As I have already mentioned, you can try this almost with any vegetables. You also need some seasonings like salt, pepper, or any others you like and some oil.

First of all, preheat the oven to 400 F. Take the carrots, sweet potatoes, zucchinis, beetroot, and rutabagas and slice them into thin ring-shaped pieces. Use a mandolin to make this process easier or do it by hand.

Then put all the sliced veggies in a large bowl, sprinkle salt and pepper, and spray the oil. Start mixing it with the hands until they are all coated.

Take the veggie slices and arrange them on the baking sheet in a single layer lined with parchment paper. Transfer the baking sheet into the oven and bake for 10 minutes. But don’t walk away and check them often so that they don’t get burnt.

If some of the slices are already baked, you can remove them from the baking sheet and continue baking the others.

When all the veggies are baked, let them cool for some minutes and then store them in an airtight container to take to the office the next day. Don’t store them unless they are cool, because in this case, they can get soggy.

DARK CHOCOLATE COVERED ALMONDS

This is one of the best snacks I have ever tried. I used to buy them from stores, but as soon as I got the recipe, I said goodbye to the commercial ones.

It is also a very quick recipe and doesn’t even include baking. You need a few ingredients to make them. The first thing you need to start is roasting the almonds. However, this step is optional. Roasting just makes their taste much better.

If you roast them, let them cool down for some minutes to room temperature. After this, you can use the almonds. The next step you should do is to take a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper. Do this and leave the sheet aside. Then you must bring to a small pot of water to a simmer on medium heat. Take a mixing bowl and put the dark chocolate in it. Be sure that the mixing bowl is heatproof as you must place it over the pot. You can also use the microwave to melt the chocolates.

When the chocolates are wholly melted, take the bowl from the pot and continue mixing it. Add the almonds into the bowl and coat them with the melted chocolate. Take the almonds one by one from the bowl and place it on the baking sheet. Be sure that they are wholly coated with chocolate but also don’t overlap them.

Arrange the chocolate-coated almonds on the baking sheet in a single layer and keep them away from each other so that they don’t get stuck. Wait until they are completely dry and peel them off from the baking sheet. Store the chocolate-covered almonds in an airtight jar, but make sure you keep them in room temperature so that the chocolate doesn’t melt.

ROASTED PUMPKIN SEEDS

What do you do with the pumpkin seed every time you use the pumpkin? Throw them away? Actually, you can keep them and roast, making one of the most delicious and convenient snacks to carry with you and enjoy in the office.

Roasted pumpkin seeds are also fantastically nutritious. They’re high in protein and fiber, and they’re also a good source of minerals like zinc and iron. After trying this recipe just once, you will give up the bad habit of throwing them away and will start to transfer them into a delicious and salty snack.

I have the easiest recipe for roasting them. Here is how you do it step by step.

Along with pumpkin seeds, the other ingredients you need to make this recipe include melted butter or oil, salt, pepper, and other seasonings.

Firstly, preheat the oven to 250° F. Take the baking sheet and line it with a piece of foil. Use the cooking spray to grease it lightly with oil or brush it with melted butter.

Scoop out the seed from pumpkins. Then clean the seeds from gunk. To make them completely free from the gunk, we can use such a trick: when you have mostly removed the gunk by your hands, place the seeds into a colander, and rinse them under the cold running water.

When you remove most of the gunk from seeds, it’s time to dry them. Pat them dry with a towel. This is very important if you want to get crispy seeds. After drying the seeds, put them into a mixing bowl, and season with salt and other spices. For this purpose, in a small mixing bowl, combine oil or melted butter and seasonings. Then drizzle over the seeds and mix it until all the seeds are seasoned.

It’s high time to bake the seeds. Spread them on the baking sheet and bake for 40 minutes. But you should also stir them occasionally when baking so that they don’t get burnt.

When the 40 minutes pass, raise the temperature of the oven to 325 F and continue baking for some minutes. This is done to make them crispier.

When the seeds are finally baked, remove them from the oven, let them cool fully, and store them in an airtight container to enjoy the next day.

HOMEMADE PROTEIN BARS

And here is a sweet snack for making you productive and give nutritious energy for the whole working day. These homemade protein bars are very easy to prepare. They don’t need cooking and require just 5 ingredients.

What you need for this are wholly rolled oats, peanut butter, honey, milk, and whey protein powder.

Take a large mixing bowl and combine milk, peanut butter, and honey. Place a bowl in a medium heavy pot over low heat and start stirring the mixture and all the ingredients and combined and warmed through.

Then add the powder and oats and continue stirring. Add much more milk if you cannot stir the mixture because of being too thick.

Take a pan and grease it with oil very lightly. Then press the mixture in the pan to the desired thickness. Let the mixture become cool. When it’s fully cooled cut it into squares or into the desired shapes. Take an airtight container and put the bars carefully into it so that they are not destroyed.

Enjoy them the next day!

AVOCADO ON TOAST

And last, but not least delicious, avocado on toasts. This is a very healthy and speedy snack with a handful of ingredients. It’s also great for breakfast. They can be a wonderful beginning of the day.

To make this delicious snack, you just need avocados, of course, bread, chili flakes, olive oil, and lemon.

This avocado on toast will energize you fantastically and make your day productive. It’s just a matter of some minutes. The preparation process is quite easy, I think, much easier than in the case of the previous snacks. So what will you do to make this snack?

Firstly, take the avocados and cut them in halves, then remove their cores. Remove the peel and place the flesh in a mixing bowl. Squeeze the lemons again in that bowl and start mashing the mixture with a fork or spoon.

Then you can add seasonings to make it more flavorful. You can sprinkle some salt and pepper on it, also the chili flakes, add what other spices you would like.

Now it’s time to prepare toasts. Take the pieces of bread and toast them. Carefully brush with olive oil and pile the avocado mixture on the bread.

You can prepare the toasts and avocado mixture in the evening. And then spend just 3-4 minutes in the morning to pile the mixture on the slices of bread, put them in a convenient launch box, and take with you. You can also take the bread and the mixture separately and do the piling process in the office.

I hope these 5 recipes will transform your boring day into a productive energy-full day. I have chosen the best ones for you. Have a nice appetite!
