5 MOST DELICIOUS RECIPES FOR HOMEMADE ENERGY BARS

These energy bars are quite simple and contain all-natural ingredients. They are a healthy and perfect way to get some energy if you are in a hurry. Just give them 20 minutes, and they are ready to make your day.

The stores are filled with different kinds of granola energy bars, and their labels promise that they are healthy. But when you look through the ingredients, discover that they contain several dangerous ingredients hidden behind those healthy bars. This is why I have decided to avoid buying energy bars from stores and use these fascinating recipes whenever I want to sweeten my day with energy bars. If you don’t want to get too many fats but are a fan of sweet snacks, they are exactly what you need.

They are the best snacks to take with you on picnics, during hiking, or just to serve on friend gatherings. They are dairy-free and gluten-free, which makes it possible to eat them even those people who are somehow allergic to foods.

The basic ingredients are the same for all the 5 recipes. They contain only 5 ingredients, which are all-natural and healthy. These ingredients are honey, dates, nut butter, rolled oats, and coconut oil. What makes them different from each other are mix-ins. These ingredients make them filled with energy that can keep you active all day long. They are extremely sweet without any artificial sugars. We use honey instead of sugar or fructose syrup to give them natural sweetness.

Another fantastic thing about these bars is that they don’t include the baking process. You just place them in the refrigerator and let them freeze for 15-20 minutes. That’s why they can be perfect if you are in a rush but feel quite hungry and want to make something very fast. To mix and whip up the ingredients, you can use high-powered blenders and food-processors.

Let’s get introduced now to the 5 varieties of granola energy bars I was talking about!

ENERGY BARS WITH PEANUT BUTTER AND CHOCOLATE

This can be among the favorite snacks of those people who adore chocolate. The basic ingredients are rolled oats, peanut butter, honey, coconut oil, dates, and of course, chocolate. You will be astonished by how tasty they are trying them just once.

ENERGY BARS WITH APRICOT AND WHITE CHOCOLATE

Another no-bake energy bar this time made of the gentle mixture of dried apricots and white chocolates. They are very sweet and will fill your day with energy and positivity. So, what you need to make them are rolled oats, honey, dates, peanut butter, apricots, and white chocolates.

ENERGY BARS WITH CRANBERRY AND WALNUT

Another great combination of the tastiest energy bars. Again the same ingredients as for the previous energy bars, but at this time, you also add dried cranberries and walnuts.

ENERGY BARS WITH CHOCOLATE CHIPS

This is another kind of energy bar to please chocolate lovers. They cannot end up just by eating one bar. So along with the rolled oats, almond butter, honey, and coconut oil, you also add dark chocolate chips and unsweetened cocoa powder for this recipe. This one is my favorite too.

TROPICAL ENERGY BARS

This is a tremendously healthy and nutritious variety of energy bars for those who are fond of tropical tastes. The basic ingredients are the same; rolled oatmeal, almond butter, coconut oil, dates, and honey. As mix-ins, you can add coconut flakes, macadamia nuts, and what makes them more delicious, dried pineapple.

LET’S DISCUSS THE MAKING PROCESS

  1. First of all, take the dates and remove the seeds they have. Use the food processor or blender to break down them in a very short time. Dates will keep your bars soft and will bring extra all-natural sweetness to them.
  2. Then comes the butter time! Different kinds of nut butter can be used for this recipe. I prefer most of all peanut butter and almond butter. Add the butter to the dates.
  3. The next ingredient we are going to add is rolled oats. Just blend the oats together with the nut butter and the dates.
  4. And finally, honey. Honey works wonders. It not only adds natural sweetness to your bars but also helps the ingredients to bind together.
  5. To keep your bars soft and moist also add coconut oils to the mixture. They are also very beneficial and healthy.
  6. And in the end, add your favorite mix-ins to your bars about which we have already talked. These can be dark or white chocolate, chocolate chips, tropical tastes, dried fruits, to name just a few.

CAN YOU STORE THE ENERGY BARS?

Of course, you can. Put them in Ziploc bags and make sure they are tightly covered. Then put them in the freezer or refrigerator, and you can keep the bars for ages. When you want to serve them, take the bars out of the freezer just 20-30 minutes before eating so that they can come to the normal temperature. You can take them with you wherever you want. They won’t disappoint you.

I am sure that now you are convinced of how easy it is to make these energy bars. And it’s even easier to make them in 20 minutes than visiting local stores and buying them. Meanwhile, they are super delicious and healthy.

Nuts are tasty and convenient; they work great for these energy granola bars. Peanuts are very nutritious; they are a wonderful source of Vitamin E, Copper, magnesium, and Phosphorus. And the bars at the same time contain fiber, which can help you fill full for a long time.

I hope you will like them and the bars will become one of your “every week” snacks.

  1. All the above-mentioned types of energy granola bars are made according to the same principle, which I will describe here. Just, in the end, you add your favorite mix-ins.
  2. Take all the basic ingredients; rolled oats, dates, honey, nut butter or almond butter, and coconut oil and put them in the food processor or blender. Mix them together until you get a smooth mixture.
  3. Put the mixture into a large mixing bowl
  4. Add the remaining ingredients into the bowl and stir the mixture.
  5. When you think you have mixed it enough, take a baking sheet or a pan and press the mixture in it.
  6. Then put the pan or baking sheet in the refrigerator and freeze it for 15-20 minutes. When you think it is frozen enough take out from the freezer and cut the mixture into small bars or big ones if you prefer like that 🙂
  7. Put the bars into Ziploc Bags and store them in the freezer or fridge if you want to keep them for later eating.

This is all about the energy bars. And in the end, I want to give you a very useful tip, if you want to make some of the varieties of the energy bars at once. For this purpose, you can make the basic mixture, using the ingredients that are the same for all the bars. And then divide the mixture into three or four parts (depends on how many kinds of energy bars you want to make). Then add the different mix-ins separately and go on with the rest of the process; freeze the mixtures, cut into energy bars, and serve or store.

I am sure these all-natural ingredient energy bars will bring your kitchen some sweetness and positive. They will not take much of your time, but your relatives, friends, and family members will be surprised by tasting them. My friends always ask me to prepare these bars when they are going to visit me. It’s also among my family’s favorites.

So, they are a fantastic way to please them! Give it a try, and let me know if you liked them.

Enjoy your bars!
