MOST POWERFUL RECIPE FOR NO-BAKE POWER BALLS

Do you need a recipe for a quick snack that requires few ingredients and does not take too much time from you? If yes, I wholeheartedly recommend you give a try to these tiny cute energy balls, which will make you energized and positive. All you need is to mix your favorite ingredients together, freeze the mixture, and make tiny power balls. They can be a very healthy beginning for your day if you choose the right ingredients.

This recipe is one of my favorite ones as it requires such ingredients that are handy, and I can always find in my pantry. I made these little power balls several times and always enjoyed them as if it is the first time.

It is also among my friends’ favorite snacks. When I serve the balls to them, they disappear from the serving plate in a matter of minutes. This once again comes to prove how addictive and tasty they are. The tiny balls are very convenient to carry with you in the container wherever you want: to your workplace, on picnics, and not only.

Let’s see what ingredients we need to make this fascinating snack.

INGREDIENTS FOR NO-BAKE POWER BALLS

The ingredients that we need to make these balls are the following:

Rolled oats – these are also known as old-fashioned oats. This ingredient is the basic one for this recipe.

Coconut – the coconut should be shredded. I also recommend toasting it a little bit in the oven. But before adding the toasted coconut to the mixture, make sure that they are completely cool. Otherwise, it will make chocolate chips melt a little bit.

Chocolate Chips – you had better use semisweet chocolate chips for this recipe. What refers to the size you can choose mini-sized or standard-sized chips. I usually use the first one. Chocolate chips will make the balls more delicious and satisfying.

Ground Flaxseed – I prefer to add this ingredient as it is very healthy. If you want to add some fiber, omega-3s, and protein to your snack, ground flaxseed is a fantastic choice.

Honey – Honey is a crucial ingredient here as it helps the balls to bind. Besides, it will give extra natural sweetness to your energy balls.

Peanut Butter – Peanut butter is another ingredient that is used to make the ingredients get stick to each other. You are free to choose both natural and traditional peanut butter for this recipe.

Chia Seeds – This ingredient is optional. I usually add them to the mixture, but you can skip if you do not have at your pantry.

Vanilla extract – A pinch of vanilla extract will make the mixture almost perfect.

This much about the ingredients! Let’s pass to the preparation process. You will be surprised about how super easy it is. You do not need even to use the oven as it requires no baking process.

Take a large mixing bowl and combine there all the ingredients. Stir together peanut butter, rolled oats, honey, chocolate chips, ground flaxseed, shredded coconut, and chia seeds (if you want).

Stir the ingredients until all of them are incorporated

Chill the mixture. Before transferring it into the refrigerator, cover it with something, and keep there for 1-2 hours.

Now it is time for making the balls. When the mixture is chilled enough, take it from the fridge and make small balls. You can choose their size yourself, but I usually recommend making 1-inch size balls.

Serve the balls and enjoy. You can also store this snack for later use. Keep them in the refrigerator. You can store them in a sealed container for up to 1 week. But if you keep the balls in the freezer, you can freely store there for up to 3 months.

Here are some tips which you can use for making these fascinating energy balls.

This recipe for no-bake energy balls is very customizable. You can be creative and work your imagination to find several interesting ways to serve them. Here are some of the tips also from me.

  1. A tip for making balls more sticky – if you face some trouble of making balls sticky, you can add some more peanut butter to your mixture.
  2. Change their shape – You are free to choose any shape for your mixture. You can make energy bars, not balls from it. For this purpose, just press the mixture into a baking pan lined with parchment. Let the mixture chill and use a sharp knife to cut bars. This is my mother’s favorite way of making this snack.
  3. Omit the shredded coconut – Coconut is just for giving extra delicious taste to your balls, but several people do not like it. So, you can freely skip this ingredient if you do not like it.
  4. Use a different butter – I have already mentioned that this recipe is very customizable. This tip proves it once again. Instead of peanut butter, you can freely use any kind of seed or nut butter. Here is a list of the different types of butter to use for this purpose: sunflower seed butter, almond butter, cashew butter, walnut butter, Brazil nut butter, you can name it.
  5. Add some spices – You are also welcomed to add some more spices to your mixture if you think they can give an extra flavor to the balls. For example, I adore ground cinnamon and always add some to my mixture if I have it at my house.
  6. What about mix-ins? – There actually lots of other ingredients that you can use instead of chocolate chips. If you are fond of fruits, you can use some dried fruits for your mixture. Raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries can also be a wonderful choice for this purpose as they are very healthy and rich in fiber. Different kinds of nuts, chopped fruits, sunflower seeds, and not only, feel free to develop the recipe and make it more creative.
  7. What to use instead of honey? – If you do not like this ingredient and never eat honey, or do not have it in your pantry, you can change it with maple syrup or agave nectar. They also work great for this recipe.
  8. What kitchen appliances you can use to make the process easier? – Yes, the preparation process is quite simple and super quick, but you can make it even easier if you use a food processor. If you have it in your kitchen, instead of combining the ingredients in a mixing bowl, combine them in the food processor and simply blend them together. Also, you can use kitchen appliances to make balls. In this way, your energy balls will be in the same size. So, feel free also to use your kitchen appliances for making the balls.

I think that these tips can help you greatly. So, good luck to you. I am sure you will succeed in preparing this recipe, as it is extremely easy and simple. The power balls are very convenient. You can take them with you to your workplace and enjoy during the breaks, or you can take with you on picnics and surprise your friends with these wonderful and cool things. Whatever you make them for, they will give you lots of fun and positivity and will provide you a full scale of energy for the whole day.

Enjoy them!
